Quilting Design Wall

  • Put a Quilting Design Wall On Your Christmas List!

November 15, 2012    Sophie is still hunting for quilting racks and quilting like crazy.   I can't believe it!!!!  Next week is Thanksgiving already and we know not long after that is Christmas. Some of you have your shopping done already, but then there a few who haven't even thought about shopping yet.  Instead of focusing on shopping and Christmas now, let's take some time to think about and give thanks for all the blessings in our lives this week before Thanksgiving. One of many blessings in my life are my quilting friends.  We have spent many hours sewing, laughing and even shedding a few tears together.  It seems like yesterday that I marked off one of the items on my bucket list...learning how to sew quilts.  Here it is a few years later, and I'm enjoying every minute of  my quilting  journey and friends.   We all have memories of special times with our quilting friends which are priceless to us. I would like to also tell you about a quilting gift that has turned into a priceless item for myself, which would be appreciated by every quilter...a quilting design wall!!!  When I received this wonderful gift I had no idea how much it would be used.  Before the Quilting Design Wall, I layed out quilt blocks on my bed, they either had to be removed before I could go to sleep or they would fall off because the bed wasn't big enough.   Then I tried laying blocks on the floor and they would get walked on or one time I had the windows open and the wind blew them all over.  With the quilting design wall you will be  looking at your block layout straight on versus looking down at them.  The 72" square quilting design wall I have can easily be taken down and stored in its nylon travel case.  I don't want to sound like a commercial for a quilting design wall...but you do remember that Christmas is just around the corner and this is a great gift for quilters of all skill levels!   I just wanted to tell you about it because it's one of those quilter supplies I can't imagine being without.
